ARTIST'S STATEMENT
My purpose in creating art is hopefully to produce something that is pleasant to the viewer or user in some capacity - no hidden meanings, no cryptic messages, nothing overly complicated to tax the mind in an already overtaxing world.

Sometimes, I incorporate some humor in my work, some whimsy,
because so much of today's world just isn't light-hearted enough.
We could all use a good laugh, now and then.

Most of my pottery is functional, so that the owner can enjoy using the piece daily, and can gain a connection with something handmade and personal.
